Poker in my life

I was 6 years old when I watched a film about cowboys with my dad. It was interesting when they fought with the Apaches but there was something that caught my attention a lot and it was when they were in the saloon playing cards.
It was the first time when I asked   to my dad what  are they doing?
My dad said. They are playing POKER.
Time passed and I had forgotten about that scene and it was not until I watched a movie called Maverick whose principal actor was Mel Gibson I really liked  that movie when I finished watching it and subconsciously  poker got  deep into my head ever since.
My first game was played in a small bar that my siblings and I opened as extra income.
I used to play with  my closest friends on Thursday nights. I sucked as a player he he, but I loved what I did.
One of my best friends took me to the casino, It was a nice experience I almost won my first free tournament that night if it  had not been for a lucky Asian lady by the way most of them are really lucky at the beginning i was scared to play against them he he.
I took poker as a simple game and nothing else but after watching the final table of the  WSOP 2009 when Joe Cada a 21 years old kid defeated an old player called Darvin Moon  . What a final table..
People cheering for them, ESPN broadcasting down to the smallest detail, broadcasters narrating the exciting  game and of course those "few" dollars  at stake made me want to become a POKER PRO.
11 years have passed since then and I am still here with my dreams of wanting to be the next Johnny Moss, Stu Ungar or Daniel Negreanu.
I was only dreaming awake what I could do with those millions and where I would go  and that is because I did not take poker seriously , I was not disciplined I did not study consciously and now I say to my self I have wasted 11 years of my life dreaming.
So It is never too late and I am determined to start from scratch, start from the most fundamental to the most advanced.
It was not until three years ago when I moved to Australia when I went to play poker in some pubs with the intention of improving my English and my poker as well.  It was a good way to kill two birds with one stone he he I am happy because I am using idioms he he . English is so hard .
Anyway, I started to study and investing in my dream which stopped being when I made it a goal. I am learning to set goals, it is hard but i know I can achieve them.  So , 5 years from now I will be playing the ME WSOP.
